Moonriver Bush Bungalows is nestled on the edge of a secluded valley, in the heart of the Waterberg Plateau of Limpopo, South Africa. This self catering lodge is located on a private 380ha game farm, it is an easy 2 ½ hour drive from Pretoria or a quick 45min fly-in using our bush airstrip.

With its temperate climate, warm sunny winter days and pleasant summers, Moonriver Bush Bungalows is the place to relax and unwind.

This peaceful haven is home to abundant and varied birdlife – a must for the avid “twitcher”. Those interested in walking and hiking, will enjoy tracking the game and identifying the wide variety of fauna and flora that occur here. Our inky black night skies are spectacular to say the least – a perfect place for astronomy buffs!

Family Run, their love of the bush and adventuring comes through in their welcome. Andrew’s zest for the bush can be traced back to his grandparents, who intrepidly travelled the African continent in the mid 1900’s in a little Ford prefect and a very snazzy Chev!
